Bass Tab Music

How can I make my own bass tabs?

I've been trying to make my own bass tabs so I don't forget about the cool bass lines I made up. I tried Microsoft Word, and you might be able to imagine how badly I failed at that attempt; and now I decided to ask someone who knows NOW before I forget about them. Anybody help? XD

1. notepad works waaaaaay better than word, if that doesnt work, pen and paper
2. Power-Tab is a free tablature program. You can enter tablature for a number of instruments such as guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, and violin. It also has playback functionality so that you can listen to the tablature you entered to ensure it is correct.
