What are some nice melodic guitar tabs, that are easy to play for the acoustic guitar?
I am a beginner guitar player, know a few chords, but I am looking for some songs that are melodic and nice sounding for the acoustic guitar. Can you give me the urls to any tab links like this? Thanks. I already know the different websites you can go to search for tabs, I am looking for specific nice easy songs.

- some nice chords to play could be am to em to g to d to a back to e
- Knowing the chords you know and the musical style you prefer would help, but if you simply want strum along to simple yet melodic songs, I'd suggest going chords rather than tabs, seeing you're a beginner. A site that offers a vast amount of chords for songs is http://azchords.com . At your left you have a search box, and the main content lists popular tabs. You must take into account that VERY often, these tabs won't be accurate. For example, alot of people can confuse an Am for an A (major). I've seen some tabs/chords go as far as confuse a D for an F#. Just wanted to warn you. This said, I don't know your musical preferences, so what I can offer you (free of course), you can email me through the email option in my profile and tell me which song you'd like to learn and I'll send you the chords or verify a source to see if the chords are correct if they're available online. I'm very experienced in tabbing so you won't be mislead :)
- What's most important is that you have fun practicing. Therefore, you should pick songs that mean something to you...songs that you personally like. I'm sure you have favorite CD's and songs that have inspired you. Look for tabs in this area and you'll improve much faster, plus, you'll have a reference to compare your tabs to the original work. Remember...even if you're tuned to standard concert pitch, where A=440, some bands will purposely tune their guitars differently. For example, The Smithereens tune to Eb...they're actually playing a simple E chord, but to your ears, it may sound like you have to play difficult guitar chords like Eb, Bb, Ab..etc. I'm not sure, but I think Stevie Ray Vaughn tuned to Eb sometimes? An artist like Lucinda Williams often uses a capo (a bar across all 6 strings) so while tabs may indicate simple chords like G-C and D, if she has a capo on the second fret...she'll actually be playing the song in the key of A..even tho it looks like the same old G-C-D chords. Totally confused now? LOL Pick songs you love, and the guitar will mean much more to you. Have fun and practice till those fingers bleed!
- Alright this is a really nice sounding song that I played when I was a beginner, ESPECIALLY for the accoustic, i still play it at times and I have been playing guitar for 4 years. It called "Wasting Love" by Iron Maiden. Dont learn the chorus (unless you want to, you said you knew a couple shords so go for it if you like) or the solo, just the main riff and bridge1 if you like. It'll take some practice but sounds great once your done. the link to the tab is: http://www.guitaretab.com/i/iron-maiden/8858.html -Have fun
